Construction Manager

Job Summary:
Supervise and direct all aspects of the single-family residential construction process. Responsible for quality control as well as budget and schedule compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordination and supervision of all construction activities on multiple projects
  • Communication with Home Buyers and Sales Agents to ensure contract adherence.
  • Managing all trade partners and suppliers to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, and with quality workmanship that conforms to plans and specifications
  • Promoting job site safety and encourage safe work practices. Maintaining safe, secure and healthy work environment by following and enforcing company policy and OSHA requirements.
  • Maintaining and updating construction schedules, identifying and solving problems related to job schedule.
  • Ordering materials and scheduling work and inspections as necessary throughout project schedule
  • Understanding project plans and specifications – working with architecture team to resolve any discrepancies
  • Soliciting trade partner bids and managing trade relationships – including monitoring performance
  • Keeping job costs within budget by monitoring project expenditures, identifying variance and implementing corrective actions
  • Tracking and receiving material orders and resolving discrepancies
  • Maintaining positive relationships with homeowners, trade partners, suppliers, sales team and fellow team members.
  • Completing final quality inspection and home certification prior to closing
  • Oversee customer building experience during construction and year one of ownership.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five year’s construction experience
  • Four-year construction related degree preferred
  • Knowledge of building codes and construction practices and methods
  • Extremely well organized
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Strong computer skills
