Brightwater Welcomes New South Carolina Construction Team Members

Award-winning residential firm Brightwater Homes has announced two new team members taking on key positions for the company’s South Carolina construction operations. Joe Corbett, a 25-year industry veteran, joins the team as South Carolina Area Construction Manager and Jack Long, an experienced construction project manager, takes on the role of South Carolina Builder. Brightwater Homes is currently building in several Charleston area communities including Daniel Island and The Preserve at Pennys Creek on Johns Island and will begin construction on its first homes at Kiawah River this summer.

As South Carolina Area Construction Manager, Joe Corbett will work to oversee Brightwater’s building operations in the Low Country including Charleston, Daniel Island and Johns Island encompassing both active new home communities as well as custom design-build projects for local clients. Joe brings to his new role more than 25 years of experience in the construction field including work in project management for luxury homes on Kiawah Island and training and managing top-performing builder teams as well as multi-family and build-to-rent construction projects. A graduate of Frostburg State University in Maryland, he has worked in construction in the Charleston area since 2001 for a variety of public and private teams developing a proven track record of success and attention to detail.

Jack Long also joins the Brightwater team as South Carolina Builder. Jack is an experienced construction project manager and site superintendent who has worked extensively in new home communities to not only manage home construction activities but also trade partner coordination, client communications, and community maintenance. Jack is a graduate of Clemson University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in operations management.
